Originally inspired by her parents’ music collection and legends from the industry, IYA’s passion for music began at the age of 11. She found herself drawn to the infectious rhythms and magnetic allure of electronic sounds and compositions. Exploring her grandfather’s synthesizers laid the foundation of her musical journey that would steer her towards a dynamic DJ career. Transitioning from her roots in house music to techno, IYA opened a new chapter for her creative expression into the techno scene.
Dedicated to evolving her music style, IYA developed a sound that blends deep minimal techno with hardgroove-inspired tracks, and touches of early progressive house. Beyond DJing, she is also a driving force behind Filtrum, organizing events and fostering a community around her vision for electronic music. Her infectious energy and style have earned her spots at renowned organizations like Geheime Liefde, Vault Sessions, Frenzy, Eindstation and Dockyard Festival.
